ORFORDVILLE — The last shuffling of the administrative team in the Parkview School District is complete after the school board Monday night chose a new elementary school principal, said Steve Lutzke, high school principal/co-superintendent.

The board has a verbal offer accepted from Joan Wick, the principal of B. A. Kennedy Elementary School and director of special education in Prairie du Chien. Starting July 1, Wick will be the principal of Orfordville Elementary and the director of curriculum and instruction.

Currently the district contracts with an independent consultant for its director of curriculum and instruction duties, Lutzke said.

Wick is replacing retiring principal Gloria Yaun, who also is the principal of Newark Elementary. Footville Elementary principal Mark Miller also will take on the roll of principal of Newark after this school year.

The school board on Monday night interviewed Wick and the other finalist, Patricia Dwyer, principal at St. Bronislava Elementary School in Plover.
