Parker soccer team knocks off Lodi

JANESVILLE — Janesville Parker High School rolled to a 5-2 victory over visiting Lodi in nonconference boys soccer here Monday.

David Jacobson scored one goal for the Vikings and added a pair of assists. Seniors Domingo Duran and Ben Ramic each scored their first goals of the season for Parker.

Grant Jahns, Duran and Ryan Porter each scored in the first half to give Parker (4-7-2) a 3-1 lead. Lodi got within 3-2 early in the second half, but Jacobson and Ramic each scored for the winning margin.

“David (Jacobson) started looking around and finding guys open,” Parker coach Andy Holmes said. “He scored one goal and had two assists, and that was really great to see.’’

The Vikings host a junior varsity and varsity tournament on Saturday.
