-- ROBERT M. SMITH, 33, of 2227 N. Cainville Road, Evansville, on a charge of substantial battery Sunday after a 24-year-old Evansville woman reported being beaten. She suffered several facial injuries as well as scratches to her neck, arms and legs.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- ANTHONY J. BARKER, 25, Madison, at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday at Highway 51 and Airport Road in Rock Township. Also ticketed for speeding.

-- JOEL J. VIZEK, 48, Madison, at 8:24 p.m. Saturday on County N east of Highway 26 in Milton Township.


-- CREDIT CARD theft and fraud reported Thursday by the granddaughter of an 89-year-old rural Whitewater man who told Rock County sheriff’s deputies her grandfather’s credit card was maxed out and that several thousand dollars were missing from his checking account.


-- NORTH FRANKLIN STREET AND CENTERWAY in Janesville at 4:50 p.m. Sept. 11, a Janesville police squad car driven by officer Amber L. Thompson, 25, turned right and struck a bicycle ridden in the crosswalk by Kenneth B. Clark, 48, of 106 Cherry St., Janesville. No injuries were reported, and no tickets were issued. Minor damage to the bicycle was reported.

-- HIGHWAY 14 SOUTH OF UNION ROAD in Union Township at 4:13 p.m. Saturday, motorcyclist Matthew D. Pulley, 19, Stoughton, tried to pass a pickup truck turning left and driven by Melvin R. Arnold, 73, of 15600 W. Green Bay Road, Evansville. After colliding with the truck, Pulley was treated and released at University Hospital in Madison. He was ticketed for driving on a revoked license and causing a property-damage accident.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- LAUREN C. WILL, 19, Crystal Lake, Ill., on Thursday on West Main Street in Whitewater.

-- JAMES G. BOEHNING, 37, Whitewater, on Friday at Whitewater Middle School, 401 S. Elizabeth St., Whitewater. He also was cited for passenger having open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.

-- ERIK N. BUKACEK, 20, Racine, on Saturday on West Main Street in Whitewater. He also was cited for operating after revocation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

-- VICKIE L. MUSIALOWSKI, 45, of 1226 W. Florence St., Whitewater, on Monday at Wal-Mart, 1362 W. Main St., Whitewater. She also was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.


-- VANDALISM to Phoenix Middle School, 414 Beloit St., Delavan, reported Monday. An estimated $1,000 damage done to a window on the west side of the school.

-- BURGLARY to Hair Techniques, 117 Park Place, Delavan, reported Monday. A cash register valued at $200 and containing $4.21 was reported stolen.
