Parker soccer team falls short against Verona
VERONA Janesville Parker High School's boys soccer team (4-6, 0-5) hung tough with Verona but dropped a 3-0 decision in the Big Eight Conference game.
Jake Genova scored two goals and Joey Widerspoon stopped all four shots he faced to lead Verona to the win.
“I think for the first time this year we came out and played very competitively against a quality opponent,” Parker coach Andy Holmes said.
The Vikings will be back in action Tuesday against Sun Prairie.
