It was a tough afternoon Tuesday for the Janesville high school girls tennis teams.

Parker lost 6-1 to visiting Madison La Follette in a Big Eight Conference dual meet. Craig fell by the same score at Madison East.

Despite the loss, Parker coach Bill Peyer was pleased with his team’s play.

“We probably played our best overall match, besides winning over Beloit and Sun Prairie,” Parker coach Bill Peyer said.

Sarah Sodemann defeated Anna Brunner, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4 singles for the Vikings’ only victory.
