— Madison Memorial High School cruised past Janesville Craig, 3-0, in Big Eight Conference girls volleyball Tuesday night.

The visiting Spartans swept to a 25-10, 25-20, 25-13 victory.

“They had some of the best servers we’ve seen this season,” Craig coach Blake Budrow said of the Spartans (3-1). “We didn’t pass very well on serve reception.”

The Cougars (1-3) had just 18 assists in the three games.

“We actually hit better than we have been. We didn’t get enough chancess. We had 29 kills and 18 errors. We just have to pass better,” Budrow said.

Michelle Straw led the Cougars with seven kills.

The Cougars will be back in action Thursday at Middleton.
