— Local dealerships are preparing to take over sales of new vehicle lines as Everhart-O’Leary Motors plans to close Monday night.

Terry Nordness, general manager at Gordie Boucher, told WCLO Radio that Everhart-O’Leary’s lines will be distributed as follows:

-- Mazda sales and service will move to Gordie Boucher Ford-Lincoln-Mercury at 2727 Highway 14, Janesville.

-- Volkswagen will go to Frank Boucher Chrysler Dodge Jeep at 4001 Milton Ave., Janesville.

-- Pontiac will go to Rock County Buick Honda GMC at 3636 E. Milwaukee St., Janesville.

-- Honda already is at Rock County Buick Honda GMC, but plans call for a standalone Honda dealership at Everhart O’Leary’s 2826 Milton Ave., location.

“We look at it as an opportunity with another car line for sales and for service,” Nordness said.

The deals have been in the works for about a year and a half, he said, as the owner of Everhart-O’Leary prepares to retire.
