President Bush is expected to announce Tuesday troop withdrawals of combat troops from Iraq, while local soldiers prepare to be sent there.

Soldiers from Janesville and Beloit are part of the largest Wisconsin National Guard operational deployment since World War II. The Guard's 32nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team and six other units received the mobilization order this week that will call up as many as 3,500 soldiers for an active duty mission in Iraq. The units will report for duty in mid-February, then train in Texas for about two months before they deploy overseas.

They'll spend about ten months of the year-long deployment in Iraq.
