— Need versus timing, could sum up the Clinton School District referendum.

A key need focuses around the elementary schools old heating a cooling system. School Board President Randy Gracyalny says Geo-thermal appears to be a good choice. Security at the middle and high schools would also be improved. Other proposed improvements include expansion of hallways, classrooms, and separate gym and cafeteria space. Gracyalny says the only opposition centers around timing, because of a troubling economy.

The total prices tag is $9.63 million.
