Intoxicated driving arrests
-- CAROLINE M. URSPRUNG, 79, of 1327 Pleasant Street, Lake Geneva, at 7:24 p.m. Friday at Broad and Dodge streets, Lake Geneva. She also was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and operating without headlights on.
-- JUSTIN M. THYSSEN, 21, of 1151 S. Wells Street, Lake Geneva, at 1:54 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Center Street, Lake Geneva.
-- GEOFFRY STUHR, 19, Franklin, at 2:25 a.m. Thursday on East Lauderdale Drive on the UW-Whitewater campus. He also was cited underage alcohol consumption.
-- KIA YANG, 21, Manitowoc, at 2:05 a.m. Friday on West Starin Road on the UW-Whitewater campus. He also was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
-- DENNIS P. GLEICHAUF, 21, of 2940 S. Highway 51, Janesville, at 12:40 p.m. Sunday at the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, on a charge of battery by prisoner, after a fight between Gleichauf and another jail inmate, who suffered a broken tooth and a half-inch hole in his upper lip.
-- LOUIS LEE BRANDT, 49, of 16 S. Pontiac Drive, No. 4, Janesville, at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday on the 100 block of North Jackson Street on a charge of party to delivery of heroin.
Intoxicated driving arrests
-- TIMOTHY F. GRAESSLIN, 48, of 1309 S. Terrace St., Janesville, at 12:39 a.m. Sunday on North Parker Drive in Janesville. It was reported to be his fourth drunken-driving charge. Also ticketed for open intoxicants in vehicle and unsafe lane deviation.
-- VICKIE L. CLARK, 57, Brodhead, at 9:57 p.m. Sunday on Highway 11 west of South Footville Road. Also ticketed for operating left of center.
-- ROBERT D. FELDMAN, 45, of 2204 S. Palm St., Janesville, at 10:54 p.m. Monday on Center and Burbank avenues. It was reported to be his fifth drunken-driving charge.
-- BEVERLY A. WOODSTOCK, 62, of 3252 Crabapple Lane, Janesville, at 1:56 a.m. Friday on Highway 11 near County B in Janesville Township. It was reported to be her second drunken-driving offense.
-- BRIAN F. CONNELL, 43, of 4517 W. Hanover Road, Janesville, at 9:32 p.m. Monday on Rockport Road and Willing Road in Rock Township.
-- HIGHWAYS 14 AND 11 IN LA PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday. Kenneth T. Soergel, 62, of 9913 N. Klug Road, Milton, was in fair condition this morning at Mercy Hospital, Janesville, after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection. Soergel’s car collided with a pickup truck driven by Nancy A. Pope, 51, of 2346 S. Carvers Rock Road, Avalon. Soergel was cited for failing to yield from a stop sign.
-- COUNTY C EAST OF EVANSVILLE BROOKLYN ROAD in Union Township at 7:23 p.m. Sunday, a car driven by Diane Bump, 47, Albany, went off the road, hitting a brick pillar and two trees. Bump was ticketed for inattentive driving and failure to fasten a seatbelt. She was treated and released at Mercy Hospital in Janesville.
-- COUNTY H AND EHRLINGER ROAD in Newark Township at 6:17 p.m. Monday, a car driven by Jeanene M. Lewis, 38, Hanover, struck a deer. She was transported to a local hospital, but her condition was not available this morning.
-- GREASE FIRE at 6:08 p.m. Monday at Asia Buffet, 2624 Humes Road, Janesville. Fire spread up the exhaust hood and onto the roof of the building resulting in $70,000 damage. When Janesville firefighters arrived, restaurant patrons already had evacuated. The restaurant will remain closed until repairs are made and occupancy and health department inspections are successfully completed.
-- BURGLARY reported Wednesday in the 200 block of Apache Drive, Janesville. Taken were a laptop computer, purse, cell phone and camera, total estimated value $1,269.
-- ARSON INVESTIGATION, at 10:13 a.m. Saturday at 215 Elliott St., Janesville. The residence was vacant, and the homeowner found smoke inside when he came to visit. Paper towels and cardboard had been lighted on fire in the basement, producing only smoke.
-- BURGLARY to a residence in the 1700 block of West Conde Street, Janesville, reported Saturday. A 9mm pistol valued at $400 was reported stolen.
-- FIRE at 11:36 p.m. Saturday at a house at 121 S. Willard St., Janesville. The Janesville Fire Department responded to a fire that started in a bedroom of the house near a computer desk. Cause of the ire was determined to be electrical due to an "overload" of electrical cords and equipment in the area. Damage was estimated at $95,000. No one was injured.
-- COUNTERFEIT $20 BILL reported at 7:55 p.m. Monday at Burger King, 2001 Center Ave., Janesville.
-- BURGLARY reported Monday at 4:07 a.m. to a home on the 9100 block of West Highway 14, Evansville. Reported stolen were wrenches valued at $200.
-- BURGLARY reported Monday at 11:25 p.m. to a garage in the 8800 block of West County A, Evansville. The burglar tried to break into the home from the garage.
