ECHO seeks help of volunteers

— ECHO is seeking volunteers to help with its Thanksgiving basket distribution in November.

Youth groups and organizations can pick up grocery bags to decorate at the ECHO office, 65 S. High St. Decorated bags need to be returned to ECHO by Friday, Nov. 21.

People also are needed to bake cookies and bars then package them by the dozen in a sealed plastic bag. They can be dropped off at the ECHO office between 9 a.m. and noon Friday, Nov. 21, or from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Faith Lutheran Church, 2116 Mineral Point Ave., where distribution will take place.

Volunteers also are needed by ECHO at 7 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, to load food at the West Court Street Sentry and set up at the church. Packing will begin at 8 a.m. and distribution starts at 10 a.m.
