Arrests

-- CHAD W. SCHEIDEGGER, 27, of 252 S. Franklin St., Janesville, on charges of burglary, theft and attempted theft at 3:10 a.m. Sunday at Division Street and Oakland Avenue, Janesville. He is accused of breaking into several vehicles and one garage in the 300 block of East Holmes Street, Janesville. Reported stolen from one of the vehicles was a watch valued at $50 and a box cutter valued at $15. Reported stolen from the garage was a dirt bike valued at $300 and a can of air sanitizer valued at $3.


-- KELLY N. GALLAGHER, 33, no known address, at 5:29 p.m. Sunday at the Rock County Sheriff's Department on charges of forgery and theft.


Intoxicated driving arrests

-- MICHAEL S. GILSTRAP, 56, of 346 Century Lane, Footville, at 1:51 p.m. Oct. 17 on Highway 51 south of Stonehenge Road in Janesville Township. Also cited for unsafe lane deviation and hit-and-run/property damage. A report lists this as Gilstrap's seventh drunken-driving arrest.


-- ROSCOE DUNDBAR-JONES, 48, of Beloit, at 9:09 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 51 near Airport Road in Rock Township. Also cited for unsafe lane deviation, driving without a valid license and open intoxicants.


-- DEBRA I. HINCHLEY, 48, of 180 Highway 106, Edgerton, at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 14 just east of Highway 51 in Janesville Township. Also cited for operating after revocation.


-- ANDREW N. GREVING, 38, of 1008 Cherry St., Janesville, at 9:07 p.m. Friday on Highway 51 north of Highway 14 in Janesville Township. Also cited for operating after revocation and passing in a no-passing zone. A report indicates this was Greving's fourth drunken-driving arrest.


-- RAYMOND L. ANDERSON, 43, of N6448 Anderson Drive, Delavan, at 7:31 p.m. Saturday on County G near Beloit-Rock Townline Road. Also cited for operating after revocation and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.


-- MICHAEL E. KRAMER, 37, of 3047 W. Memorial Drive, Janesville, at 6:31 a.m. Sunday at the Janesville Police Department, 100 N. Jackson St., Janesville, following a traffic crash.


Reported

-- BURGLARY reported Wednesday in the 200 block of Apache Drive, Janesville. Taken were a laptop computer, purse, cell phone and camera, total estimated value $1,269.


-- ARSON INVESTIGATION, at 10:13 a.m. Saturday at 215 Elliott St., Janesville. The residence was vacant, and the homeowner found smoke inside when he came to visit. Paper towels and cardboard had been lighted on fire in the basement, producing only smoke.


-- BURGLARY to a residence in the 1700 block of West Conde Street, Janesville, reported Saturday. A 9mm pistol valued at $400 was reported stolen.


-- FIRE at 11:36 p.m. Saturday at a house at 121 S. Willard St., Janesville. The Janesville Fire Department responded to a fire that started in a bedroom of the house near a computer desk. Cause of the fire was determined to be electrical due to an “overload” of electrical cords and equipment in the area. Damage was estimated at $95,000. No one was injured.


Accidents

-- HIGHWAYS 14 AND 11 IN LA PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday. Kenneth T. Soergel, 62, of 9913 N. Klug Road, Milton, was in fair condition this morning at Mercy Hospital, Janesville, after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection. Soergel's car collided with a pickup truck driven by Nancy A. Pope, 51, of 2346 S. Carvers Rock Road, Avalon. Soergel was cited for failing to yield from a stop sign.
