If you pay attention to the advertisements, health care sounds like the top issue in the 43rd Assembly District Race. Where do the candidates stand? Challenger Republican Debi Towns says government-run health care, like that mention in the ads, is often more expensive and would raise taxes. Incumbent Democrat Kim Hixson says the most important issue is ensuring coverage, and whether itís government-run or private, whatís important is, patients donít go bankrupt to receive care.

Ironically, health care may be the top issue in advertising surrounding the 43rd Assembly race, but both candidates say their top issues are jobs and the economy.
