The Town of Beloit Board gets a first peak at its new fire station Monday night.

The Town of Beloit's old fire station is showing a little wear and tear. It's now 50 years old. So, Town Administrator Bob Museus says Angus Young and Associates has designed a new $3 million facility. Museus says the new building should meet the community's needs. It should also be modest and fit into the local landscape. Despite a sluggish economy, Museus says this could be a good time to build. He agrees times are hard for taxpayers, but buildings are hungry for work.

The Town recently completed the building of a new police station at a cost of $1.2 million.
