— Beloit officials are finishing up some changes in the locations for a couple city departments, including the Public Works Water Resources Division and the Engineering Department.

Assistant City Manager, Steve Gregg, says learning the new location for these offices will be important for some residents who need face to face contact with city officials. The new building, at 2400 Springbrook Court, was recently purchased from Alliant Energy.

Gregg says moving engineering out of city hall makes sense because they make regular contact with the water resource division. The space soon to be vacated by engineering at city hall will be used by the Beloit Housing Authority.

Gregg says the the main reason for the changes is to maximize efficiencies and save taxpayers money.
