Blackhawk offering career exploration

— The Blackhawk Technical College tech prep division is offering World of Career Exploration Days for high school students in Green and Rock counties.

The events help high school students explore career paths by visiting Blackhawk campuses and viewing demonstrations in different programs. The following events are in November and December:

-- Automated systems-robotics—Thursday, Nov. 6. Automated systems technology or electro-mechanical technology dealing with today’s computer systems and robotics. For those who like to build, program, design, service and operate computer systems.

-- Computer service technician—Wednesday, Nov. 12. Learn about configuring, troubleshooting and supporting PC-based computer systems.

-- Legal, medical and administrative assistants—Wednesday, Nov. 19. Learn what the jobs entail.

-- Welding—Thursday, Nov. 20, learn about career options and attempt different welding processes.

-- Radiography—Tuesday, Dec. 2. Learn about using radiographs in treatment of the human body.
