Walworth Big Foot High School’s football team finished its second straight undefeated regular season in appropriate fashion Thursday night.


The Chiefs opened a 35-7 lead in the first half and cruised to a 42-7 victory over visiting Palmyra-Eagle in a Rock Valley South finale.


Five Big Foot players scored touchdowns as the Chiefs finished 9-0 overall and 7-0 in the league as they head for their sixth straight WIAA playoff berth. Mike Cruzan scored twice on runs of 10 and 14 yards.


Palmyra-Eagle took a 7-0 lead on Chris McMillan’s 13-yard run and extra-point kick. McMillan rushed for 64 yards for the Panthers (3-6, 2-5)

n Brodhead/Juda 45, Parkview 8—Quarterback Beau Benner averaged 40 yards a carry as the Cardinals routed visiting Orfordville Parkview in a Rock Valley South finale.


Benner rushed for touchdowns of 32, 58 and 58 yards, helping second-place Brodhead/Juda finish 7-2 for the regular season and 5-2 in the conference as it prepares for its 17th straight playoff appearance. Overall, Benner had 161 yards on four carries.


Vinny Mazzarisi added 126 yards on eight carries, including touchdown runs of 53, 32 and 4 yards. Ethan Douglas added 87 yards on 17 carries and a scoring run of 5 yards as the Cardinals rushed for 398 yards.


Eric Wahl led a Cardinal defense that limited to the Vikings to a minus-7 yards in the first half and 128 overall. Wahl had nine tackles, including four unassisted.


Kyle Woodworth threw a 5-yard to touchdown pass to Mike Jess in a fourth quarter for Parkview, which finished 1-6 in the conference and 3-6 overall.

n Turner 14, Clinton 0—Nolan Byrom rushed for 183 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead Beloit Turner past Clinton in a Rock Valley South finale.


The Trojans (3-6, 2-5) held host Clinton to 105 yards of offense, including 41 on the ground, as they broke the Cougars’ two-game winning streak.


Turner rushed 60 times for 214 yards in dropping Clinton to 2-5 in the conference and 2-7 overall.

n Evansville 46, East Troy 13—East Troy scored first and last, but the host Blue Devils dominated in between to win a Rock Valley North finale.


Evansville quarterback Andrew Keister rushed for one touchdown, threw for three others and ran for a two-point conversion as the Blue Devils finished the regular season 8-1 overall and 6-1 in the Rock Valley North as they prepare for their seventh straight WIAA playoff appearance.


Keister gained 108 yards in four carries and threw for 134 more. Josh Halvensleben added 126 yards on 12 carries, including TD runs of 1 and 56 yards.


Cody Thompson of the Blue Devils gained 63 yards on four catches, including a 17-yard TD.


The Trojans (1-8, 1-6) were led by Jordan Jacobs’ 104 yards rushing on 17 attempts. He had scoring runs of 8 and 54 yards.

n Jefferson 35, Whitewater 0—The Eagles earned their second straight WIAA playoff berth with a Rock Valley North win at Whitewater.


Jefferson (6-3, 4-3) limited the Whippets to 54 yards of total offense and only one first down, enabling the Eagles to finish the regular season with a four-game winning streak after being 0-3 in the conference.


Quarterback Lucas Smillie threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, while John Simon had two rushing TDs.


The Whippets finished 2-5 and 3-6 in their first Rock Valley season.
