Janesville Craig High School girls swim team won four events Friday, but powerful Madison West rolled to a 105.5-64.5 Big Eight Conference victory.

Hailey Schneider won the 200 individual medley in 2:12.12 and the 100 butterfly in 1:00.70. Chole Gansen won the 100 backstroke in 1:07.08 for Craig.

“Hailey’s time in the 100 backstroke was not her best time, but it was her best race because at one point she was behind and came back to win,” Craig coach Brian Kitzman said. “They were good wins.’’

Craig’s Gansen, Hailey Schneider, Betsy Collins and Morgan Vossers combined to win the 200 medley relay.

Craig, which fell to 3-4 in Big Eight duals, hosts the Cougar Relays at 10 a.m. today.
