Michael Walker scored three touchdowns to lead Walworth Big Foot High School's football team to a Rock Valley South title-clinching victory Friday night.


The Chiefs clinched their second straight Rock Valley championshipe by pulling away for a 31-7 victory over visiting Edgerton.


The win put the No. 3-ranked medium-sized school team at 6-0 in the league and 8-0 overall.


Big Foot has won 14 straight conference games and 18 straight regular-season games.


Walker caught scoring passes of 35 and 55 yards from junior quarterback Steve Dowden. He also had a 19-yard TD run and finished with 163 total yards.


Dowden completed 6 of 11 passes for 141 yards and also ran for a 15-yard score.


The Chiefs were able to control Edgerton’s Bryan Gregory, who completed 14 of 37 passes for 140 yards. Big Foot had two interceptions.


The Crimson Tide (5-3, 3-3) needs to defeat McFarland on Wednesday to earn a WIAA playoff spot.

n McFarland 27, Brodhead/Juda 12—Nick Schuepbach’s two fourth-quarter touchdowns sealed the deal as McFarland clinched a tie for the Rock Valley North title and knocked Brodhead/Juda out of the Southern Division race.


The Spartans, No. 6 in the AP state ratings for medium-sized schools, improved to 8-0 for the season and 6-0 in the conference to maintain a one-game lead over Evansville with one to play. They can clinch the undisputed title with a win next Thursday at Edgerton.


After falling from the unbeaten ranks with a 7-6 loss to Walworth Big Foot last week, eighth-ranked Brodhead (6-2, 4-2) dropped two games behind the unbeaten Chiefs (8-0, 6-0) with only one to go.


McFarland led only 14-12 after three quarters against the visiting Cardinals. The Spartans then had 62- and 37-yard touchdown drives, with Schuepbach scoring on 3- and 4-yard runs.


Brodhead’s only lead came at 6-0 on Ethan Douglas’ 19-yard touchdown run a minute into the game. Vinny Mazzarisi got the Cadinals’ other touchdown on a 17-yard pass from Beau Benner with 7:44.


Mazzarisi rushed 11 times for 101 yards. Schuepbach finished with 28 carries for 204 yards.

Schmoldt scored on runs of 2, 1 and 13 yards as the Blue Devils went to 5-1 in the Rock Valley North and 7-1 overall. Andrew Keister threw for two touchdowns and ran for a two-point conversion.

n Whitewater 28, Parkview 7—Whitewater quarterback Ryan Owen threw three touchdown passes and Miles Hookstead returned a pass interception 66 yards for a TD as the Whippets defeated the Vikings in a Rock Valley game at Orfordville.


Owen completed 20 of 30 passes for 268 yards, throwing TD passes of 12, 68 and 13 yards. Hookstead made six catches for 101 yards.

n Clinton 27, East Troy 23 (OT)—Nick Oldenburg’s 9-yard scoring run in overtime gave the Cougars (2-6, 2-4) their Rock Valley win win over host East Troy.


Oldenburg’s run came after Ben Massman kicked a 22-yard field goal on East Troy’s possession in overtime.


Oldenburg also had scoring runs of 9 and 1 yards in regulation and finished with 154 yards on 26 carries.

It was Jefferson's third straight win and put the Eagles (5-3, 3-3) within one game of earning a second straight playoff berth.


Nolan Byrum had 138 yards rushing for Turner, including a 28-yard touchdown run.
