— Middleton High's boys soccer team scored three goals in the first 10 minutes en route toa 6-1 win over Janesville Parker in a Big Eight Conference finale Thursday night.

Parker completed the regular season with a 5-12-2 record, including 0-8-1 in the Big Eight.

Ryan Porter’s unassisted goal at 29:59 of the first half cut the Middleton lead to 5-1.

“Middleton set the tone the first 10 minutes,” Parker coach Andy Holmes said. “They pulled their starters after that, and I was very appreciative of that.

“They put their starters back in the second half for about 25 minutes, and we played right with them. That’s a positive sign to take into the tournament.”

Parker will open WIAA Division 1 regional play next Thursday at Lake Geneva Badger.
