City sets special voter service hours

— The city will have special voter registration and absentee balloting opportunities from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 25, and from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at the clerk-treasurerís office in room 416 of the Municipal Building, 18 N. Jackson St.

Residents also can visit during normal business hours, which are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

To register, a resident must be a U.S. citizen, age 18 or older on Election Day and a Janesville resident for 10 or more days. Proof of residency, which must include the residentís complete name and current address, is required. Voters with a Wisconsin driverís license must provide their driverís license number.
