Walworth County has energy aid applications

The Walworth County Department of Health and Human Services will accept Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program applications by appointment on these days at these locations:


-- Community Action, 1545 Hobbs Drive, Delavan: 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Wednesdays, Nov. 12 and 26, Dec. 10, Jan. 14 and 28, Feb. 11, March 11 and 25, April 8 and 22 and May 13.


-- East Troy Village Hall, 2106 Church St., East Troy: 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Wednesdays, Nov. 5, Dec. 3, Jan. 7, Feb. 4, March 4, April 1 and May 6.


-- Genoa City Village Hall, 715 Walworth St., Genoa City: 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Mondays, Oct. 27, Nov. 24, Dec. 29, Jan. 26, Feb. 16, March 30 and April 27.


-- Geneva Town Hall, N3496 Como Road, Lake Geneva: 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesdays, Nov. 18, Dec. 16, Jan. 13, Feb. 10, March 10 and April 14.


-- Sharon Village Hall, 125 Plain St., Sharon: 1-4 p.m. Tuesdays, Nov. 25, Jan. 12 and March 23.


-- Irving L. Young Memorial Library, 431 W. Center St., Whitewater: 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Mondays, Nov. 3 and 17, Dec. 1 and 15, March 2 and 16, April 6 and 20 and May 4 and Tuesdays, Jan. 5 and 20 and Feb. 2 and 17.


For an appointment, call (262) 741-3337 or 1-800-365-1587. An application will be mailed. Bring proof of Social Security and the previous three months’ income, and current electric and heating bills.


Income must be less than $3,900 for three months for a one-person household, $5,250 for three months for a two-person household, $6,600 for three months for a three-person household and $7,950 for three months for a four-person household.
