Parker soccer team defeats Lake Mills

— Grant Jahns scored three goals in the first half to lead Janesville Parker High School to a 6-3 victory over visiting Lake Mills in nonconference boys soccer here Monday.

The Vikings took a 4-3 in the first half. After assisting Jahns on his goals, Ryan Porter added Parker’s fourth goal with an assist from Jahns.

“They both did a nice job,” Parker coach Andy Holmes said. “We moved Grant from forward to midcenter so he could get more touches.’’

Kyle Walker and Alex Copp each scored a goal in the second half to ensure Parker’s victory.

“We finally figured out how to play defense in the second half,” Holmes said.

Parker (5-12-2) hosts Middleton in a Big Eight Conference regular-season finale at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
