— Highway 51 between Janesville and Beloit was shut down for about an hour Tuesday night as firefighters battled a garage fire near the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport.

Janesville firefighters responded to 4327 South Highway 51 around 11:10 p.m. and found a garage, at that location, fully involved in fire. Mutual aid was requested from the Turtle and Footville fire departments.

Damage is estimated at $50,000 to the structure, contents, and vehicles parked nearby. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
