— Janesville Craig High School's girls volleyball team had trouble keeping momentum Tuesday night in a 3-0 Big Eight defeat at Verona.

The Cougars lost 25-14, 25-16, 25-18 to fall to 2-6 in league play.

Craig led in the first two games but couldn’t close the deal.

“Every game, we just seem to hit a roadblock,” Craig coach Blake Budrow said.

Kelsey Kennedy had 15 assists, while Ina Pruzinskis and Ally Zimmerman added five kills each for Craig.

Craig hosts Capitol Conference power Lakeside Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
