A $37 million Center for the Sciences barely opens on the Beloit College Campus, and already the school is receiving accolades.

Beloit College has been recognized for leadership in interdisciplinary science technology. The college is one of 30 institutions selected by project Kaleidoscope. Beloit College Biology Professor Yaffa Gossman says the project will give the school a chance to showcase its inquiry based workshop approaches to teaching science. Gossman also believes Beloit College is being recognized for the strength of new programs focussing on health and society and environmental studies.

The recognition comes shortly after the Center for the Sciences opened on campus.
