Elkhorn High used a commanding first half to take down host Union Grove, 24-20, in a Southern Lakes Conference game Friday night.

The Elks (4-2, 2-1) handed the Broncos (4-2, 3-1) their first conference loss.

Ethan Lockhart ran 16 yards for one touchdown and caught a 15-yard pass from Eric Bryson for another as the Elks built a 21-0 halftime lead. Jake Gahart’s 37-yard field goal in the fourth quarter gave the visitors a 24-13 lead.

Bryson completed 14 of 25 passes for 188 yards, including six to Gahart for 79 yards.

Tyler French added 88 yards rushing, including a 5-yard first-quarter scoring run.

n Delavan-Darien 49, Wilmot 0—Comet quarterback Michael Gonzalez threw for three touchdowns and 177 yards, while Jarrett Fowlkes scored three TDs and Ben Lodahl added two more in Delavan-Darien’s easy win at home.

Fowlkes caught scoring passes of 10 and 47 yards and returned an interception for a 45-yard score. He had five catches for 115 yards. Lodahl added scoring runs of 11 and 2 yards.
