Delavan man accused in choking incident
ELKHORN A Delavan man has been charged with felony strangulation and suffocation, felony battery and misdemeanor disorderly conduct after a fight with another man.
Salvador Galindo, 25, of 103 Arbor Ridge Drive, Delavan, is accused of choking, punching and kicking Oswaldo Chavez, 31, of Delavan on Nov. 15.
Delavan police were called to a residence for reports of two men fighting, according to the criminal complaint. When police arrived, they found Chavez lying unconscious on the kitchen floor and Galindo sitting in the living room, according to the complaint.
When police later interviewed Chavez at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, he told police he, his brother’s ex-girlfriend and Galindo were drinking at Chavez’s house, according to the complaint.
Chavez told police Galindo and the woman were yelling, and he told Galindo he didn’t want him in his house and that he needed to leave, according to the complaint.
Chavez told police Galindo “just snapped,” grabbed him from behind and punched him in the head. Chavez told police Galindo put his hands around Chavez’s neck until he couldn’t breathe, and the next thing he remembered was waking up on the floor and Galindo punching and kicking him, according to the complaint.
Chavez told police Galindo said “I’m gonna kill your (expletive),” and started choking him again, and the next thing he remembered was waking up in the hospital, according to the complaint.
Galindo faces up to nine years and nine months in prison and up to $21,000 in fines if convicted. He remains free on a cash bond.

“I’m gonna kill your (expletive),”? I cannot guess what the expletive is. Nothing that I can think of makes any sense. Anyone have a clue?
