Adam Lysak has put the crowning touch on a stellar soccer career at Milton High School.

Lysak, a senior forward, played a key role in the Red Hawks’ drive to the WIAA Division 1 state semifinals has been rewarded with a first-team spot in the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association all-state selections.

Despite missing six midseason games while playing overseas for the Polish U-17 national team, Lysak led Milton with 19 goals and 16 assists, the last of which came when the Red Hawks got the game-winning goal in a 2-1 state quarterfinal victory over Green Bay Preble.

“He just has a natural ability to play forward,’’ Milton coach Ryan Wagner said of Lysak, a Marquette University recruit, who received all-state honorable mention as a junior. “He has an awesome touch on the ball, and he’s put in the work over the years.’’

Senior forward Robby Boyd, who led Milwaukee Marquette to the Division 1 state title, is the state Player of the Year. The California-Santa Barbara recruit is among four Marquette players on the 11-man all-state first team.
