-- A 15-YEAR-OLD JANESVILLE BOY referred to juvenile authorities on charges of arson to property other than a building and criminal damage at 12 a.m. Wednesday after police responded to McKinley and South Locust streets in Janesville for a report of burning material sticking out of the gasoline fill tube of a Dodge Caravan. The officer extinguished the fire, and when firefighters extracted the unburned portion of the paper, they found the boy’s name on it.

-- JEANNETTE K. MAENNER, 17, of 5667 N. Northwood Trail, Janesville, on charges of theft of a financial card and fraudulent use of a credit card Wednesday.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- MATTHEW R. BROWN, 25, of 2401 Stonefield Lane, Janesville, at 11:52 a.m. Monday on Highway 11 east of County G in LaPrairie Township. It was reported as his second arrest on a drunken-driving charge. Also ticketed for speeding.

-- MATTHEW R. BACH, 32, of 2203 S. Osborne Ave., Janesville, at 12:22 a.m. Wednesday at Kellogg and Oakhill avenues in Janesville.

-- SARAH E. EVENSON, 27, of 1405 S. Arch St., Janesville, at 2:20 a.m. today at Centerway and Main Street in Janesville.


-- ROBBERY reported by a 42-year-old Footville man who told sheriff’s deputies that he was attacked and robbed of $300 when he stopped to help a motorist in apparent distress at 12:05 a.m. Sunday on West Mineral Point Road east of Pahl Road in Janesville Township.
