The Janesville School District is considering changes to the foreign language curriculum.

Janesville Schools currently have pretty traditional foreign language offerings including German, French, and Spanish. Director of Instruction Donna Behn says the district is currently seeking input into what the public wants. A recent survey should help shape the district's direction. Topping the list of favored languages is Spanish, follow by a tie for second between Chinese is French. The district has a lot to mull over because of several different needs for a language choice including military security, economics, and cultural trends.

A report is being prepared for the school board.
