Janesville National Guard unit to brief employers on deployment

Janesville's National Guard unit will brief employers Wednesday about its expected deployment to Iraq in 2009.


The open house begins at 5:00, with a formal briefing at 6:00. The briefing will include information about training events and expected mobilizations dates for Alpha Company, 132 Brigade Support Battalion; soldiers' rights regarding employment and re-employment; and the role of the Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.


Members of the 132 Brigade Support Battalion will also discuss their experiences from previous deployments.


The event takes place at the Janesville Armory on Palmer Drive.
