Charter Communications’ customers are currently being affected by a fiber optic network outage that is impacting Internet services throughout areas of Wisconsin, northern Illinois and southeastern Minnesota. Company officials say some Charter customers may experience slow speeds, intermittent access problems or be without Internet service altogether. The outage originates with a third-party network provider who has sustained damage to their network and began around 8:00 A.M. Wednesday. Repairs are underway to reestablish Internet services for all Charter customers being impacted at this time. No estimated time for complete restoration of service is available at this time, however.

Video and telephone services provided by Charter are not being affected by this outage.
