Parker baseball team shut out

JANESVILLE — Rockford Boylan’s Tyler Dray was too tall of a task for Janesville Parker High School’s hitters hre Monday afternoon.

The 6-foot-7 sophomore struck out 12 in six innings and the Vikings had only two hits in a 6-0 nonconference baseball loss to the Titans at Riverside Park.

“He’s pretty special,” Parker coach Brian Martin said of Dray.

B.J. Scharenbroch was the only Viking hitter to solve Dray, going 2-for-3.

Two errors led to the Titans’ first two runs in the third. They added three runs on four hits in the sixth.

Parker (5-12, 5-9) hosts Sun Prairie in a Big Eight this afternoon and closes the regular season at Madison East on Thursday.
