Parker nets soccer win over Westosha
SALEM Janesville Parker High School’s girls soccer team shut out Westosha Central, 4-0, Friday in a nonconference regular-season finale Friday.
The visiting Vikings’ victory was a tuneup for their WIAA Division 1 regional opener against Lake Geneva Badger at home at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The Vikings (14-6) posted two goals in each half against Westosha.
Kelsey Bysted scored three goals for Parker. Nicole Strieker scored what would be the winning goal three minutes into the first half.
Bysted has scored 22 goals overall, while Strieker has scored 18 goals.
“It was a good game for us because we got a lot of people to play,” Parker coach Matt Beisser said. “We came out a little flat-footed, but we got control.’’
