Whitewater softball team goes to 2-0 in NCAA

UW-Whitewater’s softball team improved to 2-0 in the NCAA Division III regional tournament with an 8-6 win over Wartburg College on Friday at Rock Island, Ill.

The Warhawks (32-8) will play top-ranked DePauw University (Ind.) today at 2 p.m. in the double-elimination event.

Orfordville Parkview High graduate Amy Gahl had three hits and scored two runs for Whitewater. Lauren Cruz belted her ninth home run of the season.
