Parker suffers nonconference softball loss

— Janesville Parker High School took a 1-0 lead over Wilmot before the roof caved in, enabling the Panthers to notch a 13-6 nonconference softball win here Tuesday.

After Parker went ahead in the first inning, Wilmot rolled to a 7-1 lead after three innings. The Panthers led 12-6 after five innings.

Wilmot pounded Parker pitching for 20 hits, including three doubles and a home run. The Panthers scored six runs with two out.

Parker had seven hits, including two apiece from Kelley Koebler, Emily Lilburn and Lyndsay Kluge.

“We just kind of fell apart,” Parker coach Dyann Riley said. “We made some poor decisions.’’

Parker (5-11) hosts Madison West at 4 p.m. Friday at Dawson Field.
