Local players help South team win
OSHKOSH Janesville Craig’s Trevor Foss earned the victory as the South defeated the North, 4-3, in a Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Classic game Friday night at Oshkosh.
Janesville Parker’s Matt Beyer singled with one out in the third and scored on Janesville Craig’s Ben Yaucher’s RBI double. Yaucher later scored on another single.
Madison East’s Sam Topping won the the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth.
Foss pitched the top of the ninth.
The West beat the East, 3-2, in the other game.
Action was delayed 52 minutes by rain.
