CLINTON, IOWA — Santos Arias was dialed in Thursday night.
The right-hander threw a complete-game three-hitter to lead the Beloit Snappers to a 2-0 win over the Clinton LumberKings in Midwest league baseball.
Arias improved to 4-3 for the season as he allowed only one runner past first base. He struck out four and allowed no walks in improving his ERA to 2.39.
Beloit, which improved to 7-1 in the second half, scored a run in the second on a double-play ground ball and added an insurance run in the seventh on Joe Benson’s RBI single.
The Snappers return home to Pohlman Field tonight for the start of a four-game series with the Cedar Rapids Kernels.
