Alliant Energy has the "Help Wanted" sign out.

Alliant's John Kratchmer tells WCLO's Stan Milam show, utilities are in real need of electric power distribution workers. One-half of Alliant's workforce is currently over 55-years-old. To help ensure applicants, Alliant is joining in a partnership to support Blackhawk Technical College's Electric Power Distribution program.

Kratchmer says Alliant will financially support a second class and instructor for student's at BTC.
