Arrests

-- A 34-YEAR-OLD JANESVILLE MAN on a charge of second-degree sexual assault of a child Monday.

-- MICHAEL K. GRIFFETH, 57, of 502 S. Academy St., at about 5 a.m. today on charges of battery and disorderly conduct while armed. He is accused of threatening his wife with a gun during a verbal dispute. He was taken into custody after officers surrounded his home.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- RACHELLE D. DEETS, 20, of 215 N. Gilbert St., Footville, at 3:11 a.m. Thursday at Spring Valley and Coon Island roads in Plymouth Township. Also ticketed for underage drinking. A passenger—JENNA L. LAVERY, 19, of 386 N. Gilbert St., Footville—was arrested on charges of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia and ticketed for underage drinking.

-- KYLE K. LARRABEE, 36, of 10311 W. Laird Road, Beloit, at 2:33 a.m. Saturday on Highway 213 west of Hafeman Road in Plymouth Township. It was reported as his second arrest on a drunken-driving charge. Also ticketed for failure to notify police of an accident.

Accidents

-- KELLOGG AVENUE AND WALNUT STREET in Janesville at 1:10 a.m. today, a vehicle driven by Brittany L. Robinson, 22, of 1639 Randolph Road, Janesville, ran off the street and hit a house at 1704 Kellogg Ave. Robinson, who was ticketed for inattentive driving, was treated and released at Mercy Hospital in Janesville.

-- O’RILEY ROAD SOUTH OF HOFSTROM ROAD in Bradford Township, a car driven by Ryan T. Gretschmann, 17, of 5042 S. Hofstrom Road, Darien, ran off the road and hit a parked car. Gretschmann, who was ticketed for inattentive driving, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Janesville for medical treatment.

-- ADEL STREET AND ROOSEVELT AVENUE in Janesville at 12:22 a.m. Friday, Janesville police officer Shaun Mahaffey, 27, was responding to a call of an armed subject and saw the suspect in the T-intersection. Mahaffey got out of his squad car to respond but did not put the car in park. It rolled forward and hit a fire hydrant. No tickets were issued.
