From the Associated Press:

The utility covering southeastern Wisconsin says about 19,000 customers had power knocked out at the peak of the damage this afternoon around 5 p.m.. The hardest hit areas including East Troy, Burlington, Mukwonago, Watertown, Fort Atkinson and Delafield.

Barry McNulty of We Energies says crews have restored power to all but 6,500 and are working to get the rest restored, even as storms keep coming through.

High winds, falling tree limbs, lightning strikes and flooding contributed to the outages.

McNulty says part of the problem is the saturated ground, because it causes trees and power poles to topple more easily in high winds.
