For the second time in two months, a downtown Janesville business is hit by a car when a vehicle ran a red light.

Janesville Police Lieutenant Keith Lawver says the victim's vehicle was southbound on Jackson Street, ran a red light, hit a traffic signal and got hung up on the traffic signal. The other car was westbound on Milwaukee Street, struck the car that ran the red light, then veered off and hit the front of Diva's Salon. Dee Bloom, owner of Diva's at the corner of Jackson and Milwaukee Streets, says she just got new store windows put in to replace the damage from the last accident. She says now those windows are shattered.

Lawver says there were minor injuries associated with the accident.

The driver southbound on Jackson Street received a citation for violating a red traffic signal.

I knew there was a reason why I slow down when the light turns yellow, instead of speeding up!
