Parmalee homers twice to lead Snappers

Chris Parmalee helped the Beloit Snappers move a game closer to Midwest League baseball’s Western Division wild-card spot here Thursday night.

Parmalee hit two home runs to lead the Snappers to an 8-6 win over the Kane County Cougars.

Beloit (32-28) is 3 ½ games behind Kane County (35-24) for the wild-card spot.

Michael McCardell (2-1) picked up the win, while Spencer Steedley notched his sixth save.

Parmalee drove in four runs, and Ben Revere scored twice for Beloit.

The two teams continue their four-game series tonight.
