— Water is standing in roads, and trees are down in some places.

But no local police or sheriff’s departments are reporting road closures at this time.

The city of Janesville reported no major problems as of 8 a.m.

City public works Operations Director John Whitcomb said the places that usually fill up during heavy rains were doing so again. Those include Blackbridge Road west of Milton Avenue and several spots along Mt. Zion Avenue.

Janesville Craig High School officials announced this morning that they still intend to hold tonight’s commencement ceremony at Monterey Stadium.

Rock County dispatchers said streets also held standing water around Edison Middle School, 1649 S. Chatham St., Janesville.

Dispatchers in Rock, Jefferson and Walworth counties said no roads were closed.
