Janesville residents will have a chance to voice their opinions Monday night on the future of the city's parks.
Manager of Planning Services Duane Cherek says the Park and Open Space plan recommends neighborhood parks will be larger in new developments around Janesville. The larger parks allow for a greater amount of recreational activities. Existing neighborhood parks are about three acres, but new parks could be up to 12 acres. Cherek says recommendations are also geared toward expanding the city's off-road bike and pedestrian trail system. The plan identifies future community and regional park facilities.
The Plan Commission public hearing begins at 6:30.
