JANESVILLE — If you run a red light or don't stop long enough before turning right on red on Janesville's Milton Avenue, your chances of being pulled over will be greater—at least through the end of the month.

Janesville police are directing patrol efforts at traffic control violators along the busy commercial street from now until the end of the month.

Two officers, in either marked or unmarked cars, will dedicate six hours a day—from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3 to 6 p.m.—to enforcing traffic signal laws.

Their orders are to stop every violator they see, but writing tickets will be up to their discretion.
