Janesville man indicted in conspiracy
MADISON A Janesville man was among seven people recently indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of conspiracy to distribute at least a half kilogram of cocaine.
Gerardo Pineda Soria, 21, Janesville, was among those charged with using homes and a storage locker in Watertown to store cocaine, guns and money and with using a cell phone to arrange cocaine distribution from March 21 to June 19.
The other six people charged in that indictment live in Watertown.
The grand jury returned a separate indictment charging a conspiracy to distribute cocaine that lists nine other Watertown residents as defendants. They used the same locations in Watertown to distribute five or more kilograms of cocaine from Aug. 17, 2007, to June 19, the indictment charges.
In an unrelated case, Ryen Harris, 21, Beloit, was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm. He faces a maximum 10 years in federal prison.
