Parker wrestlers hammer Sun Prairie
Janesville Parker High’s wrestling team capped off the Big Eight Conference dual meet season by flattening Sun Prairie on Friday night.
Led by unbeaten Ryan Holden, the Vikings cruised to the 49-16 win.
“Ryan just keeps getting better and better,” Parker assistant coach Andy Tubbs said. “He handled what we thought was Sun Prairie’s best wrestler pretty easily in his match.”
Holden pinned Chase Steiner in 1:42 at 112 pounds, in the meet’s final match.
Also winning by pin for the Vikings were Brennan Casey-Schmidt at 103: Evan Cavey at 119; Alex Folk at 140; Joe Ramirez at 145; and Matt Hauchin at 215.
Dustin Rucinski, Cody St. Michael, Lewis Lobrano and Harold Lloyd also won for the Vikings.
Parker, which finished 7-1 in the Big Eight and in second place behind Beloit Memorial, will wrestle at the Pewaukee Tournament today.
