Janesville Parker High School’s gymnastics team finished fourth in Saturday’s 19th annual Whitewater Invitational.

The Vikings scored 123.150 points, while Waterford won the six-team meet with 141.125. Elkorn was second at 126.575, and Milton was third with 124.125.

Waterford’s Amanda Kram was the star of the day. Kram won all four individual events, as well as the all-around with a score of 37.60. The junior won the Division 2 all-around state title in 2007.

Freshman Erika Whitson paced Parker by finishing third on the floor exercise with a 9.30, and was fifth in the all-around.

“Our scores continue to get better, especially on the floor exercise,” Parker coach Cathy Lehmann said. “It was a good team performance, and as long as we continue to improve, that’s all I can ask for.”

Elkhorn’s Allie Phillips was second in three events, including the all-around.

Parker is off until Jan. 28, when it hosts Middleton in a Big Eight Conference meet.
